IN THIS LESSON: Why we need each other

Is loneliness bad for you?

Yes! There is a claim that loneliness is as bad for your health as smoking. According to an advisory from the U.S. Surgeon General, lacking social connection and experiencing chronic loneliness carries a risk of premature death that is equivalent to smoking up to 15 cigarettes a day.

According to the Guardian, there are cardiovascular risks associated with social isolation and loneliness. Studies show a 29% increased risk of heart disease and a 32% increased risk of stroke.

The Bible says “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another. - Proverbs 27: 17 (ESV)

We need each other. To grow in our faith of Jesus Christ we must come together and have fellowship. Jesus said “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” Jesus wants to be with us and we need Jesus with us!
