Statement of Faith

Part 1 - Jesus the son of God

We believe there is power in the name of JESUS! The name “Jesus” embodies all of Jesus’ character, presence, and essence, of who He is - God the creator of the Universe.

We believe Jesus is God incarnate, God in Human form. Jesus is fully God and fully man. God became man or took on flesh so that he could demonstrate who God is and provide the means of salvation for humanity.

Jesus was born of the virgin Mary, he lived a perfect and sinless life and all of his teachings are true (Matthew 1:23). Jesus is the only begotten son of God. He is the eternal word made flesh. He has always been with God, is God, and will always be God.  He was before all things and through him all things were created. Through him all things were made, without him nothing was made that has been made. (John 1:3).

Part 2 - Jesus is our Savior

Jesus is the only savior for the sins of the world. Having shed his blood, he died on the cross taking our sin. Christ’s death is a substitutionary and propitiationary sacrifice for our sins. His death on the cross demonstrates divine love for us by removing our guilt and by reconciling us to God.

This act redeemed us from sin and upheld divine justice. We believe that through his name, his death is sufficient to provide salvation for all who receive him as savior. Our justification is found in the shedding of his blood.

On the third day he rose bodily from the grave with complete victory over death and powers of darkness and ascended into heaven and sat at the right hand of God the Father where he serves as our High Priest, the only mediator between God and man. He continuously intercedes for his people and rules as Lord over all.

Part 3 - Jesus and the Trinity

We believe Jesus, who is God, Lord of all, with power in his name, has revealed himself in three distinct persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is sovereign, infinite, and eternal. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10: 13).

God is omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent, and desires that all be saved. By believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth you will be saved, (Romans 10: 9 - 10). There are no barriers to salvation. We are not restricted by background, culture, or past mistakes. Salvation is a free gift of grace, available to all. We believe all must yield our hearts to God, acknowledge Him as Lord, and sincerely trust in who he is and what he has done for us. No amount of performance on our own will suffice. Through the power in his name all, Jews and Gentiles, will be saved.

We believe when you accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit comes to live (indwells) in your heart. The Holy Spirit, the third person of the trinity, who is God, convicts the world of sin and pursues men to repent of their sins and to confess Jesus as Lord and Savior. He is the divine teacher who teaches directly to our minds as a believer studies the word of God. Our hearts are illuminated with the love, joy, and peace that only God can give.

Part 4 - Jesus and the Church

We believe that when Jesus rose, the Holy Spirit came and the church was established. The establishment of the church was and is to save mankind who was originally created in the image of God.

However by sin, rebellion, and selfishness, man estranged himself from God. As a result, divine condemnation, and death was brought to the world.

Unsaved man is at odds with God. He lives under the dominion of sin, Satan, and will ultimately face death. Sinful people are inherently lost without the hope of salvation which comes from the powerful name of Jesus.

Part 5 - Jesus and the Bible

We believe that we get to know Jesus through his word. His word is found directly in the Bible. We believe the bible, including the old testament and the new testament, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative word of God.

The entire bible is a story of redemption and salvation. God created man perfectly in his image, man rebelled, sinned, and needed a savior. God sent Jesus to redeem all of humanity. We learn of this story by the inerrant, God-breathed scripture, written in the bible. God used regular men to tell his story which leads to and is about Jesus.

God guided the authors of the Bible through the Holy Spirit, to produce what we call the bible. He providentially prepared and guided their lives for the very task of their writings - writing the word, which is Jesus. We believe that every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord (Isaiah 45: 23).

Part 6 - Jesus will return

We believe that Jesus will return, the dead will rise, and sin will be judged. A new heaven and a new earth will be established.

The whole earth will proclaim the glory of God, all things will be made new, and all will recognize that Jesus is Lord and know that there is power in the name of JESUS!

May the Lord give his people strength. May the Lord bless his people with peace. - Psalm 29: 11
